Eco Wave Lodge is a budget accommodation in a modern and stylish mansion in Kommetjie, just 100 metres away from fabulous Long Beach and its excellent surf spots. Restaurants, pubs and a grocery store are just around the corner. Other attractions nearby are the Cape of Good Hope, Chapman´s Peak Drive, Boulder´s Beach, Kalk Bay and Muizenberg.
WORK & TRAVEL
We are hiring volunteers / interns at our lodge all year around. As a volunteer / intern your tasks include the processing of bookings and enquiries via phone and email, maintenance of booking systems, Check Ins, Check Outs, housekeeping, customer service and online marketing. You must have a good command of English, office skills, a drivers license and a friendly, open minded personality
ACTIVITIES
Surfing
Kommetjie is situated in one of South Africa’s most diverse and plentiful surf regions. It therefore offers a huge variety of excellent surf spots situated in magnificent settings and catering for all levels of experience.

Horseback riding
There is something unique and special about horse riding through the surf – especially when that surf is breaking on to one of the Western Cape’s most spectacular beaches. This two-hour guided beach ride along the isolated Noordhoek Beach, right along the waters’ edge and heading towards the steep crags of Chapman’s Peak, will not only inspire you with stunning views, but will provide ample opportunity to witness the wild bird life, whales, dolphins, otters, and seals that are so plentiful along this coast in their natural habitat. Hiking
The area offers great hiking trails which vary in difficulty, from easy to challenging. They all offer breathtaking views of the flora and fauna as well as of the coastline. Locally we have the Slangkop Trail which starts within walking distance. Further away Silvermine Nature Reserve offers a variety of trails and so does Chapman’s Peak.
